We address equity resource issues to build a healthy, resilient and thriving frontier.
Living in frontier communities should feel modern, safe and up to date. NCFC is at the forefront of crafting, supporting and expanding services for the millions of Americans who live in geographically remote areas.
Frontier needs are unique
Many programs designed to solve community problems and support growth are optimized for urban or suburban areas. From food scarcity and health and wellness, to substance abuse – what works in a larger community can be a challenge in the frontier.
Logistical hurdles – like distance, and lack of supply chain in remote areas – can break programs designed for larger populations. Social dynamics are different in communities in which most people know each other. Trust is valued, stigma is higher, and outside perspectives can be overwhelming.
NCFC understands the specific needs of remote communities and offers programs that work.
How we work
Amplifying the voice of frontier communities, constituents and supporters, we help communities grow strong with engagement and programs, designed from the ground up alongside those who know it best.
