About Us

The National Center for Frontier Communities (NCFC) is the only national organization dedicated to frontier communities – the smallest, most geographically isolated communities in the United States.

We serve as a central point of contact for referrals, information exchange, and networking among geographically separated communities.

Frontier communities differ in many ways, but all of them are small and far from larger population centers. NCFC gives a voice to people and programs in frontier communities and raises awareness of frontier issues to policy makers, agencies, and the public.
